If the book is done (ish), don’t forget that you said you would read Judy’s Journey by Lois Lenski when you were finished! I love this post. I’m sure it seems odd to you, but I don’t automatically associate Baltimore and the sea.
I will! Thanks for the reminder!! Just as soon as this last pass is done I can return to reading middle grade. And Baltimore is a port city, but not near the ocean itself. There’s a line in the book about how they know, in theory, the harbor goes to the bay, which goes to the ocean. But they’ve never been…
As a West Coast girl, I don’t really get the difference I had to read that a couple of times to understand what you meant. Looking forward to discovering Baltimore through the book.

I am in and out of Baltimore a great deal and am always fascinated by the new things I see and learn, can’t wait for this book, Laurel!
